Tamron Co. Ltd. announced consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2016. For the year, the company reported net sales of JPY 59,903 million, operating income of JPY 2,361 million, ordinary income of JPY 2,855 million, profit before income taxes of JPY 2,742 million, profit attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 1,482 million or JPY 57.19 per basic share, net cash provided by operating activities of JPY 6,537 million and purchase of property, plant and equipment of JPY 2,286 million compared to the net sales of JPY 71,946 million, operating income of JPY 4,554 million, ordinary income of JPY 5,140 million, profit before income taxes of JPY 5,893 million, profit attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 4,048 million or JPY 153.98 per basic share, net cash provided by operating activities of JPY 6,214 million and purchase of property, plant and equipment of JPY 2,400 million for the previous year. Purchase of intangible assets was JPY 204 million compared to JPY 130 million a year ago.

The company provided earnings guidance for the first half and full year ending December 31, 2017. For the first half, the company expects net sales of JPY 28,500 million, operating income of JPY 800 million, ordinary income of JPY 800 million, profit attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 600 million and net income per share of JPY 23.15.

For the full year ending December 31, 2017, the company expects net sales of JPY 62,500 million, operating income of JPY 3,200 million, ordinary income of JPY 3,200 million, profit attributable to owners of the parent of JPY 2,240 million and net income per share of JPY 86.42.

The company announced year-end dividend of JPY 30.00 per share compared to JPY 35.00 per share for the same period last year.

For the six months of 2017, the company expects to pay dividend of JPY 25.00 per share compared to JPY 25.00 per share for the same period last year.

For the year ending December 31, 2017, the company expects to pay dividend of JPY 50.00 per share compared to JPY 50.00 per share for the same period last year.
