Tamron Co.,Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2020. For the year, the company's net sales were JPY 48,375 million compared to JPY 63,285 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 3,575 million compared to JPY 6,982 million a year ago. Profit was JPY 1,958 million compared to JPY 5,330 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was JPY 88.83 compared to JPY 207.13 a year ago.

The Company operates through three business segments. The Photography business is engaged in the manufacture and sale of interchangeable lenses for single-lens reflex cameras and interchangeable lenses for mirrorless cameras. The Special Equipment business is engaged in the manufacture and sale of lenses for surveillance cameras, vehicles, factory automation (FA) and machine vision. The Lens business is engaged in the manufacture and sale of video camera lenses, digital camera lenses, drone lenses, and various optical device components.
