Tata Coffee Ltd., a subsidiary of Tata Global Beverages and one of the largest integrated coffee plantation companies in the world, was recognized at the 4th Ernesto Illy awards for the best Indian coffee for the 2018 - 19 season.

IllyCaffé - a global leader in high-quality, sustainably grown coffee celebrated its work with farmers globally, through the annual 'Ernesto Illy International Coffee Awards', in an award ceremony held in New York City. Tata Coffee's Sunticoppa estate in Coorg was recognized as the best Indian coffee and was amongst the finalists in the global recognition round.

Over 12 months, best coffees from nine important coffee producing countries namely Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Honduras, India and Rwanda are identified by Illy Café's quality team and from them, 3 finalists per country are identified. Finally, an external jury comprising of coffee experts and coffee lovers, come together to choose the best coffee lots amongst the 27 entries.
