Tata Steel Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2024. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was INR 534,897.3 million compared to INR 551,072.1 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 545,033 million compared to INR 559,101.6 million a year ago. Net income was INR 8,334.5 million compared to net loss of INR 61,962.4 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 0.67 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of INR 5.07 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 0.67 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of INR 5.07 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was INR 1,079,020.8 million compared to INR 1,141,230.1 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 1,095,346 million compared to INR 1,165,766.4 million a year ago. Net income was INR 17,930.6 million compared to net loss of INR 55,622.9 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 1.44 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of INR 4.56 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 1.44 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of INR 4.56 a year ago.
