TECO Offers Low-Carbon Solution to Factories

TECO Electric & Machinery Co., Ltd. will exhibit smart factory and industrial low-carbon solutions at Automation Taipei 2021, held at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Dec. 15-18.
Sophia Chiu, TECO chairman, points out that in line with the global carbon-neutrality current, TECO offers high-efficiency motors and inverters, along with visualized power-monitoring system, helping factories to slash power consumption and carbon emission. Also on display is the company's optimized energy-conservation solution, which, along with the KPI (key performance indicators) situation room of affiliate ITTS (Information Technology Total Services) and another affiliate Tecom's smart electromechanical equipment health management platform, can help manufacturers establish smart low-carbon factories.
The KPI situation room boasts OT (operational technology)-level information security solution, capable of detecting and alerting hacking, to uphold manufacturers' information security.
TECO's exhibition booths highlight three main themes, namely "complete smart low-carbon factory solution," "green motive-force solution," and "automation solution," which embody the company's corporate vision of "energy conservation, emission reduction, intelligence, and automation." On display in the "complete smart low-carbon factory solution" is IE4 high energy-efficiency motors, which boasts 5% power saving than IE1 motor or whopping 25-50%, in conjunction with inverters in operation.
In the "automation solution" area, visitors will encounter the company's "smart anti-epidemic sterilizing robot," granted silver award of Taiwan Excellence Awards this year, as well as a cobot, an AGV (automated guided vehicle)-mounted robotic arm, which will debut at the show. The cobot can repeat a movement, completed under the manual guidance of visitors, known as teach pendant. The product boasts modular design, easy assembly, and precision positioning, applicable in manufacturing, retail, education/research, and medical care. Also on display is crown block, furnished with TECO's DC servo system, for overhead transport in semiconductor factories, or fabs.
The mainstay in "green motive-force solution" is e-vehicle powertrain T Power+, supplemented by large AGVs for application in ports.
