RIGA, Feb 29 (LETA) - 51 percent of households in Latvia do not watch TV programs together, instead, each family member chooses to watch his or her own programs, according to a poll conducted by Tele2 mobile operator.

Also, 42 percent said that each family member watches TV program on their own devices - TV, computer, tablet or phone.

The poll shows that 86 percent of households have a TV at home and they consume TV contents. At the same time, 5 percent of households do not have a TV set at home, mostly young people. Those of them who watch TV, do it on their computers.

90 percent of residents said that it is important for them to watch TV programs without advertising, while 83 percent of respondents would like to watch TV at the time and place convenient for them.

Tele2 commercial director Raivo Rosts said that today diverse video content is available and everybody may choose what interests them, besides it is possible to watch it on different devices.

Tele2 conducted the poll in cooperation with Berg Research, surveying 805 respondents.
