Telecom Italia S p A : Noovle and TIM WCAP launch “Cloud Challenge” to select...

The "Noovle Cloud Challenge", the international call promoted by Noovle, the TIM Group cloud company, and by TIM WCAP, kicks off today. The aim of the challenge is to attract the best national and international startups, scaleups and SMEs to identify the most innovative business ventures in e-Health, sustainability and Containers as a Service virtualisation technologies. The chosen companies will have the chance to negotiate a collaboration agreement with Noovle.

The project aims to identify the most advanced technological solutions, capable of exploiting the potential of Cloud and Artificial Intelligence to support the digital transformation of companies and public administrations, in line with Noovle's strategy to build a portfolio of products and services with added value for the market.

The initiative benefits from the experience of TIM WCAP, the TIM Group's Open Innovation Programme, which encourages business opportunities and fosters collaboration with 'ready-to-market' startups, small and medium-sized enterprises and scaleups. It also has the support of Mind The Bridge, an international organisation providing companies and governments with innovation consultancy services.

Until 31 March, innovative projects in the following areas may be submitted via the TIM WCAP platform (https://www.wcap.tim.it/it):

• E-Health: cutting-edge solutions based on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for the diagnosis, monitoring and provision of healthcare services, with the aim of optimising the efficiency and management of services across the healthcare supply chain.

• Sustainability: advanced solutions based on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence capable of supporting the achievement of sustainability goals (e.g. reduced dependency on fossil fuels, containment of CO2 emissions, etc.)

• Container as a Service (CaaS): highly innovative cloud-based solutions capable of supporting the operations, management and maintenance of a MATCH architecture, based on micro-services, API-first, cloud-native and headless.

The proposals will be assessed by a panel of managers and experts who will identify the most innovative companies. The award ceremony will take place in May at a dedicated event with participation from Google Cloud.
