Telefonica SA said Thursday that net loss narrowed in the third quarter but its business continued to experience a significant impact from Covid-19 across markets.

The Spanish telecommunications company said net loss in the quarter was 160 million euros ($188.1 million), from a loss of EUR443million the year prior.

Quarterly operating income before depreciation and amortization, or Oibda, fell to EUR2.67 billion from EUR2.75 billion. The Oibda margin was 25.5%.

Revenue was down to EUR10.46 billion from EUR11.90 billion. The company said the coronavirus pandemic is estimated to have had a negative impact of EUR591 million on revenue in the quarter.
