Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) wishes to inform that some customers in certain parts of Benta, Kuala Lipis Pahang may have been experiencing service disruption since Monday, 11 March 2013.

Our technical team has discovered that the disruption was attributed to cable theft incidents which occurred at the affected areas. TM would like to clarify that this is a localised problem affecting customers in certain areas of Benta only.

As a result, affected customers may have been experiencing problems with their fixed line telephone and Streamyx services.

Rest assured that TM is taking necessary action to restore the services as soon as possible and the team has taken immediate steps to replace the stolen cables. Meanwhile, to alleviate the problem, the traffic has been diverted and managed effectively to ease the situation.

Repair works which are currently underway are estimated to be fully completed by Thursday, 14 March 2013, 5.00 pm.

We will continue to provide the latest updates on the progress of the restoration works, and would like to elicit feedback from our customers on the quality of service experienced.
