Norwegian telecom provider Telenor ASA said Thursday that it is unifying its Internet of Things portfolio under a new brand called Telenor IoT.

The move will see Telenor bring together its IoT offering both across the Nordics and internationally, with the Nordic IoT portfolio and its specialised global IoT company Telenor Connexion portfolio coming tether under Telenor IoT.

Effective immediately, Telenor IoT will be offered from all Telenor business channels, it said.

"As a part of introducing Telenor IoT, a new operating model is being launched to leverage on Telenor's global competency, synchronise product development, accelerate the customer facing business and improve technical support," Telenor said.

"In doing so, Telenor is bringing together 200 full time IoT specialists."
