EcoVadis is an independent sustainability rating service, that assesses a company's sustainability management through its policies, actions and results. It focuses on 21 sustainability criteria through four main categories: Environment, Labor rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement, based on publicly available information.
EcoVadis' assessment is based on material issues that pertain to each company's size, location and industry, reflecting the company's current efforts and challenges. In addition to the Platinum status, Telia also receives its EcoVadis scorecard providing guidance on how to further strengthen and continue to evolve our sustainability performance. The EcoVadis scorecard is an important tool requested by our business customers when aiming to understand our sustainability performance.
In 2021 Telia was awarded a Gold status by EcoVadis. This year's upgrade to Platinum status reflects our ongoing commitment to drive sustainability including efforts such as:
An integrated sustainability agenda in our business strategy and key processes
Ambitious commitments and goals
Continuous engagement with stakeholders to better understand our impacts and risks
Constant assessment of our material impact areas
Granular reporting of our achievements and challenges
EcoVadis and other sustainability ratings are constantly raising the bar. Telia will continue to improve and deliver in-line with our own ambitious targets and external sustainability expectations, which require the continuous involvement of employees across the company.
