Speed, efficiency, convenience and lower costs - these are the benefits provided by the new Telia Lietuva and iSign e-document signing service to companies. Telia Lietuva is the first in Lithuania having offered the service covering all electronic and mobile signatures not only to its customers, but also to customers of other operators.

According to the estimates made by Telia Lietuva and iSign, a company signing 300 documents per month can save more than one thousand euros per month by using the electronic e-document signing service.

'The time which employees spend to prepare documents, print and send them, also travel expenses add up to a solid amount. Entrepreneurs often write off such things to costs without giving a thought about a possibility of more efficient operations. We are a new generation telecommunications company, thus we seek to change the rules and the established approach, and receiving all services from a single point at Telia Lietuva, business customers can enjoy high quality and security' - said Mindaugas Ubartas, Head of Business Customers at Telia Lietuva.

The new service is aimed at efficient work with electronic documents of both current and new Telia Lietuva customers. Customers of other operators can also order the service. The service ordered through Telia Lietuva provides an unlimited number of signed documents and as many as 10 GB of space for them on the 'cloud' which can be reached from any location with the Internet connection. The service costs EUR 15 per month per user.

With iSign for Business, Telia Lietuva provides companies with access to the centralized document signing account, where they can easily and securely share documents with their colleagues, business partners and customers, and ensure that all their information never gets into the wrong hands.

Electronic document signing allows increasing efficiency of business processes, without wasting time of employees and the necessity to print documents; documents are signed faster, also avoiding human errors.

Consumers having acquired the Telia Lietuva service can sign documents not only themselves, but also allow their business partners to sign them. Moreover, the system allows checking the validity of e-signatures contained in documents. Customers are also informed each time when their signature is required or when a document has been signed by all persons having to sign it.

Gintas Balčiūnas, Business Development Manager at iSign, says that the market situation has changed significantly during the three years of operations, while consumer needs have been continuously increasing.

'An increasing number of people, companies and institutions has discovered advantages provided by e-signature each year; this trend is illustrated not only by the rapidly growing number of issued qualified certificates for e-signatures, but also by growing amounts of documents signed on our portal. Companies operating in the sectors of finance, real estate and transport where large amounts of papers are signed in the conventional way highly appreciate the opportunity to sign documents electronically. Figures also confirm the relevance of the service - to this day, consumers have signed more than a million of documents via our portal' - said G. Balčiūnas.

Telia Lietuva business customers will be able to sign both international document formats (PDF and ASiC) and formats approved in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia (ADoc, EDoc, BDoc). Documents may be signed using a mobile signature, a personal identity card, a cryptographic USB storage device and 'Smart-ID' app.
