Dan Strömberg, CEO of Telia Lietuva, has been appointed as Telia Company Senior Vice President and from August will be the Head of cluster Lithuania, Estonia and Denmark (LED). The decision has been announced on Monday by Telia Company President and CEO, Allison Kirkby.
'I am grateful for the trust invested in me and cannot wait to take up the new position. I have been the CEO of Telia operations in Lithuania, Estonia and Denmark, so I know all three markets, our customers and employees well, moreover - they know me. I believe that by working together we can achieve even greater synergy which will benefit our customers', says Strömberg. He will also continue in his present role as CEO for Telia Lietuva.
Besides him, two more members will join the Telia Group Executive Management team: Markus Messerer who is today the CEO of IT company Alltron AG, and Rachel Samrén from telecommunications and media company Millicom.

Each of them are experienced and outstanding leaders, who will be excellent role models of the Telia values, and bring a broad range of sector knowledge and hands-on operational experiences from our industry, and beyond', says Allison Kirkby.
As a consequence of these changes, three current Telia Company SVPs, Ingrid Stenmark, Åsa Jamal (both from 30 of June) and Emil Nilsson (from 1 of August), will leave the company. The latter is also the Chairman of the Board of Telia Lietuva. At the end of the year Peter Borsos will also leave Telia Company.
Dan Strömberg is the CEO of Telia Lietuva from July 2018. Earlier (2016-2018) he was the CEO of Telia Eesti, before that (2013-2015) he was the CEO of Omnitel in Lithuania, and in 2009-2012 he was the CEO of Telia Danmark. During his 27 years in Telia Company, Dan has held various senior manager positions and accumulated substantial expertise in mobile, broadband, IT businesses and diverse market knowledge. Dan Strömberg is also the Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Council of Latvian telecommunications company Tet SIA, and the member of the Board of Association Investors' Forum in Lithuania.
