VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Telus International Inc. (TIXT) on Friday reported second-quarter net income of $56 million.

On a per-share basis, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had profit of 21 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, came to 30 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 28 cents per share.

The digital services provider posted revenue of $624 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $619.4 million.
