The Board of Directors of Perak Transit Berhad announced that CKS Bumi Sdn Bhd, CKS Labur Sdn Bhd, Star Kensington Sdn Bhd and The Combined Bus Services Sdn Bhd, all subsidiary companies of the Company, (ôPTRANS Subsidiariesö), have on 26 September 2022 separately entered into a Supply Agreement for Renewable Energy (collectively referred to as the ôAgreementsö) between Tenaga Nasional Berhad (ôTNBö) and GSPARX Sdn Bhd to install solar photovoltaic (ôSolar PVö) energy generating system with total installed capacity of 422 kWp at the designated site of the premises of PTRANS Subsidiaries. Pursuant to the Agreements, PTRANS Subsidiaries shall purchase and accept the solar energy generated from the Solar PV systems measure in kWh by the solar energy meter (ôNet Electrical Outputö), delivered and supplied to PTRANS Subsidiaries at Terminal Meru Raya in Ipoh (The Combined Bus Services Sdn Bhd), Kampar Putra Sentral in Kampar (The Combined Bus Services Sdn Bhd), Shell Petrol Station in Tanjung Rambutan (Star Kensington Sdn Bhd), Shell Petrol Station in Lahat (CKS Labur Sdn Bhd) and Petron Petrol Station in Kuala Kangsar (CKS Bumi Sdn Bhd), by GSPARX Sdn Bhd.á PTRANS Subsidiaries shall make payment in full based on the monthly billings issued by TNB in accordance with such Net Electrical Output generated. The Agreements are valid for a term of 20 years from the date of signing the Agreements.

The Agreements are part of PTRANSÆ Environment, Social and Governance transformation blueprint to elevate the Group to become aá sustainability leader in Malaysia.á By installing the Solar PV systems with zero capital expenditure to the Group, the Group expects it will bring in an estimated total savings of MYR 3.5 million in 25 years and reduce reliance on conventional power sources. The Solar PV systems will also contribute in helping the Group to promote clean energy and minimise the nationÆs carbon footprint, with an estimated CO2 offset of 241.5 Metric Tons. The Agreements are not subject to the approval of the shareholders of PTRANS.

None of the directors, major shareholders of PTRANS and/or persons connected to them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the Agreements.áThe Directors of PTRANS are of the opinion that the entry into the Agreements are in the best interest of the Company and of the Group. The Agreements will be made available for inspection at the CompanyÆs registered office at No. 1 Jalan Lasam, 30350 Ipoh, Perak from Monday to Friday (except public holidays) during normal business hours for a period of three (3) months from the date of these Agreements.
