(Alliance News) - On Monday's opening day, major European indexes are in positive territory, with Piazza Affari touching 34,800 and Paris doing best of all.

Thus, the FTSE Mib opens up 0.1 percent to 34,796.28, the Mid-Cap is in the green 0.2 percent to 48,192.97, the Small-Cap rises 0.8 percent to 28,516.58, and Italy Growth advances 0.4 percent to 7,803.75.

In Europe, London's FTSE 100 is in the green by 0.3 percent, Paris' CAC 40 gains 0.6 percent, and Frankfurt's DAX 40 rises 0.1 percent.

On the macroeconomic front, in China, annual inflation unexpectedly dropped to 0.2% in November from 0.3% in the previous month, disappointing market forecasts of 0.5% and marking the lowest figure since June. The data were released Monday by the National Bureau of Statistics of China.

This slowdown highlights the growing risks of deflation in the country, despite recent government stimulus measures and accommodative monetary policy from the central bank.

In Japan, the economy grew at a faster pace than initially expected in the third quarter of the year, according to data released Monday.

According to the second official estimate, Japan's gross domestic product expanded 0.3 percent quarter-on-quarter in the three months through September, stronger than the 0.2 percent growth reported in the first estimate.

Returning to Milan, on the highest-capitalization list in Piazza Affari, best start-up performance for Moncler, up 3.6 percent, after closing Friday's session in the green by 5.0 percent. This is the fourth consecutive bullish session. Goldman upgraded the stock to 'buy' with a target price of EUR58.70.

Tenaris is doing well, in the green by 2.7%, after giving up 3.0% in the last session.

Brunello Cucinelli closes the opening podium, in the green by 2.7%.

More buying for Banco BPM -- in the green by 2.0% -- after Crédit Agricole SA increased its stake from 9.9% to 15.1% and intends to apply for permission to rise to 19.9%.

According to Monday's Corriere della Sera in its L'Economia supplement, the move by CEO Philippe Brassac is strategic and aims to protect French investment. The change complicates the plans of UniCredit -- in the red by 0.9 percent -- and its CEO Andrea Orcel, who is about to file with Consob a public exchange offer to acquire Banco BPM.

Inwit opens in the green by 1.1 percent. The company's CEO, Diego Galli, expects to surpass EUR1.00 billion in revenues by year-end, a significant jump from EUR750.0 million four years ago, according to Corriere della Sera in its L'Economia supplement on Monday.

Eni -- in the green by 1.2 percent -- is facing a clash with the EU over the biofuel market that in Italy. The dispute concerns tax breaks granted to HVO - Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil - biofuel, produced solely by Eni in Italy, which Assitol says would create a distortion of competition.

Among the bearish performers we find A2A and Leonardo at the start, with declines between 1.4% and 1.8%.

Profit taking for Campari, which gives up 1.4 percent to EUR6.18 per share, after five bullish sessions.

At the bottom of the main list, Iveco Group gives up 2.4 percent to EUR9.716 per share at the open, after eve's gains.

On the Mid-Cap, Digital Value advances 4.3% with price at EUR25.40 per share, in its fifth session in the green. Of note, PDT Partners raised its short position on the stock to 0.71% from 0.49% previously.

Sanlorenzo and Piaggio are doing well, rising 2.1 percent and 1.6 percent at the start.

Salvatore Ferragamo advances 2.1%. Of note, Goldman Sachs cut its target price on the stock to EUR6.50 from the previous EUR7.10.

Banca Generali -- in the green by 0.7 percent -- expands its reach with the acquisition of Intermonte Partners SIM -- no SME trade --, an investment banking boutique, which will become an integral part of the group, as reported Monday by Il Sole 24 Ore in its Economy supplement.

The deal, with 69 percent of acceptances already collected and awaiting approval from Consob and the Bank of Italy by mid-December, aims to strengthen the offering in the Global Markets and Capital Markets sectors.

Among those bearish on the opening are OVS and Acea, which retreat 1.0 percent and 1.3 percent, respectively.

On the Small-Cap, doValue rises 9.4 percent to EUR1.716 per share, returning last month's performance to green.

Doing well is Fidia - in the green by 8.5% - after leaving 20% on the parterre in the last session.

Zucchi and SS Lazio followed, with rises between 3.8% and 4.0% at the start.

Among the bearish Aquafil gives up 2.5%, after giving up 4.3% in Friday's session. Quartys initiated a short position on the stock at 0.51%.

Among SMEs, SolidWorld Group soars 12% to EUR2.15 per share, on its third positive session. The stock has gained about 32% in the past 30 days.

Among the bullish Portobello rises 12% to EUR2.70 per share, Askoll Eva grows 6.9%, and UCapital24 advances 7.3%.

Vivenda Group begins its second week of trading up 4.9% at EUR0.947, touching the December 2 placement price.

Almawave - in the red by 0.4 percent - reported that BNP Paribas and SACE will provide a EUR20 million loan, issued by BNP Paribas itself and backed by SACE's Archimede Guarantee on 70 percent of the total value financed.

The deal aims to support the growth plan related to strategic investments in generative artificial intelligence made by the Almawave group.

In Asia, the Nikkei closed in the green by 0.2 percent, the Hang Seng gained with 2.8 percent, and the Shanghai Composite closed in the fractional red.

In New York, the Dow closed in the red by 0.3 percent, the Nasdaq closed in the green by 0.8 percent, and the S&P 500 gained 0.3 percent.

Among currencies, the euro changed hands at USD1.563 from USD1.0571 in Friday's European stock close. The pound is worth USD1.2761 versus USD1.2754 on Friday evening.

Among commodities, Brent crude is worth USD71.99 a barrel from USD72.20 at Friday night's close. Gold trades at USD2,670.51 an ounce from USD2,661.49 an ounce Friday night.

Monday's macroeconomic calendar includes, at 1030 CET, is the Sentix index of Eurozone investor confidence.

Among companies listed in Piazza Affari, no particular announcements are expected on Monday.
