As part of the existing strategic alliance between Tenaris and YPF -Argentina's national oil company-, two days of face-to-face technical sessions were organized at Siderca, Tenaris's seamless mill in Campana, and in Buenos Aires. This activity was the first in-person commercial meeting since the outbreak of coronavirus in March 2020, so strict safety measures were observed at all times.

Specialists from technical sales and commercial teams from both companies reviewed Tenaris's tubular products, sucker rods -including the new rod guide TenFlowTM-, coating for couplings, coiled tubing and different service packages for oil and gas operations. They also spent time discussing digital integration, especially a B2B connection between both companies, which allows for greater agility and control over commercial and administrative processes, supply of products and services required by YPF's operation.

In addition to the meetings, YPF paid a visit to Siderca's mill in Campana, including the steel mill, rolling and premium threading areas, the Research and Development Center and the Full-Scale Testing Laboratory. Both the presentations and the mill tour were part of Tenaris's commitment to train YPF personnel on a regular basis per their long-term agreement.

'Returning to this kind of face-to-face meetings with customers is very important and the discussions we held with YPF starting the year makes it even more important for our partnership,' said Fernando Frugoli, senior commercial manager of Tenaris in Argentina.

Frugoli also highlighted how the alliance between both companies proved to be strong enough to successfully overcome the challenging context brought by the pandemic.

Tenaris supports YPF's operations in the Gulf of San Jorge basin and in Vaca Muerta, where the national oil company currently has 12 drilling rigs in operation.
