Tenaris has signed a three-year contract with Pluspetrol, a leading private oil and gas company in Latin America, for the supply of OCTG and services in Ecuador.

The partnership starts with the dispatch of 3,800 tons of 13 3/8' to 4 ½' OCTG with TenarisXP®️ Buttress and TenarisHydril Blue®️ connections for six wells in Ecuador's Villano field, where the customer plans to start operations in February 2021. In addition to supplying pipes, Tenaris will also provide Pluspetrol with technical assistance in the field.

'The high quality and performance of our products met the customer's expectations in the drilling process and in their objective of minimizing risks during operations. These were key in advancing our agreement,' said Randall Rodríguez, Commercial Manager of Tenaris in Ecuador.

Pluspetrol started its operations in the Ecuadorian market in 2019, when it acquired Block 10 of the Amazon rainforest from AGIP Oil. Since its arrival in Ecuador, Pluspetrol has become the fifth largest private producer in the country.
