The group, led by Stefano Donnarumma, recorded excellent performances in 2020,

proving to be among the best communication team

Rome, 28 May 2021 - Terna is "Best in Media Communication 2020". The largest independent electricity transmission grid operator in Europe, it has received the BIC - Best in Media Communication certification from Fortune Italia, in collaboration with Eikon Strategic Consulting.

In particular, according to the reasoning behind the decision, the experts rewarded Terna's "very positive positioning of its reputation, the positive opinion of journalists in relation to the clarity of information, and the ability to very effectively communicate the image of a solid and growing company, protagonist of the energy transition and innovation partner capable of generating value for communities".

Terna, together with its communication team, is among the top national Italian companies for the performances achieved in a year characterised by the complex situation created by the pandemic. The prestigious award confirms the effectiveness of the renewed communication strategy of the group led by Stefano Donnarumma, as evidenced also by the recent company television campaign. With a 30-second video, Terna describes its role as the leader in the Italian electricity system and in the ecological transition: the advertisement signs off with "Driving Energy", the institutional tagline adopted by Terna following the presentation of the 2021-2025 Business Plan, which sets out investments of 8.9 billion to develop and modernise the electricity grid to serve the country.

BIC certification has been given to 21 companies, assessed in this edition for clarity and quality of content, accessibility and completeness of information: three areas of communication certified through a scientific, transparent and objective method. The Index developed by Eikon integrates 3 key areas: 'reputation', that is the positioning of the individual company in the media, obtained by weighing the visibility of the individual media campaign content with sentiment; the 'media impact assessment', which measures the effectiveness of communication (impact of press releases, weight of interviews/statements, flow management during a crisis and social media engagement); the 'media poll', the result of a survey of journalists that cover the sectorthe company being evaluated operates in, examining the quality of content and reports.
