Tesco has named Guus Dekkers as its new chief technology officer, joining from Airbus. Mr. Dekkers is replacing Edmond Mesrobian on his retirement. The hire comes as supermarkets brace for the onslaught of Amazon in the grocery sector, with the online giant slowly making headway in the US after buying Whole Foods last year.
