After a challenging two years of Covid-19 disruption, Thai Airways has announced its plans to recommence its non-stop service to Bangkok from Perth Airport.

Perth Airport CEO, Kevin Brown said that the resumption of services to Thailand is great news for travellers and we are thrilled to welcome the airline back to Perth.

'The airline plans to reconnect Western Australia and Thailand with three flights per week between Perth and Bangkok using its Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

'Pre-Covid, the airline operated a daily service, so we look forward to working with the airline to build demand and therefore connectivity between the two ports.

'Thailand has always been a popular holiday spot for Western Australians, and it is great to see the return of a direct service.

Thai Airways service arrives at Terminal 1 International at 15:05 (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) and then departs at 16:20 on the same day.

Thailand is now open and welcoming tourists as its government has announced the removal of PCR testing and no short stay visa requirements. Visit Smarttraveller website for further information.
