The Aaron's Company, Inc. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was USD 445.83 million compared to USD 432.56 million a year ago. Revenue was USD 452.15 million compared to USD 440.96 million a year ago. Net income was USD 24.35 million compared to USD 32.61 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.75 compared to USD 0.96 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.73 compared to USD 0.96 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was USD 1,380.81 million compared to USD 1,285.61 million a year ago. Revenue was USD 1,400.7 million compared to USD 1,304.75 million a year ago. Net income was USD 93.65 million compared to net loss of USD 268.79 million a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.74 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of USD 7.94 a year ago.
The Aaronâs Company, Inc. is a technology-enabled, omnichannel provider of lease-to-own and retail purchase solutions for appliances, electronics, furniture, and other home goods across its brands, including Aaronâs, BrandsMart U.S.A., BrandsMart Leasing, and Woodhaven. The Company offers a direct-to-consumer lease-to-own solution through its approximately 1,240 Company-operated and franchised stores in 47 states and Canada, as well as its own e-commerce platform. BrandsMart U.S.A. is an appliance retailer in the country with about 11 retail stores in Florida and Georgia, as well as its e-commerce platform. BrandsMart Leasing offers lease-to-own solutions to customers of BrandsMart U.S.A. Woodhaven is the Company's furniture manufacturing division. The Companyâs business segment consists of Aaron's branded Company-operated and franchise-operated stores; aarons.com e-commerce platform (aarons.com); Woodhaven; and BrandsMart Leasing (collectively Aaronâs Business).
