--Russian state-owned company Rostec will aim to build 1,000 planes by 2030 using locally built parts, ending Russia's reliance on western companies, Reuters reports.

--Foreign-made planes account for 95% of passenger traffic, but Russia can't access any spare parts due to sanctions imposed following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Reuters reports.

--"Foreign aircraft will drop out of the fleet," Rostec told Reuters. "We believe that this process is irreversible and Boeing and Airbus planes will never be delivered to Russia," it said.
