RIDGEFIELD, Conn. (AP) _ The Chefs' Warehouse Inc. (CHEF) on Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $1.4 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Ridgefield, Connecticut-based company said it had profit of 4 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 10 cents per share.

The distributor of specialty food products posted revenue of $512.1 million in the period.

Chefs' Warehouse expects full-year revenue in the range of $2.13 billion to $2.23 billion.

Chefs' Warehouse shares have increased 9% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen almost 5% in the last 12 months.
