Costa Coffee, the U.K. based coffee house chain that has its own coffee vending machine known as Costa Express, will eliminate as many as 1,650 on account of the coronavirus pandemic, according to a bbc.com report.

The company, which the Coca-Cola Co. acquired in 2018, is consulting with staff to try to find roles for those whose role the company plans to eliminate.

The company indicated the role of assistant store manager could be removed.
