As the Delta variant continues to surge, we remain committed to doing everything we can to promote safe environments for our teams, customers and communities.
Since the beginning of the year, we've rallied together to help stop the spread of COVID-19. We joined the White House's call to action and sent 3.5 million masks and face coverings to non-profit community organizations, distributed science-based education to all employees, including critical information on life-saving vaccines, offered vaccine-related PTO to employees in multiple countries, and established on-site COVID vaccination clinics at our Customer Experience Centers and our office in India where teams were without ready access to vaccines.
Recently, we evolved our vaccine policy and announced that, starting September 7, any employee who enters our Bay Area, New York or Albuquerque office buildings must show proof of vaccination, unless a reasonable accommodation is approved. In addition, we're continuing to refine our approach by implementing an incentive program which enables vaccinated employees at our Stores, Customer Experience Centers, and Contact Centers to be entered into weekly drawings to win $1,000. The drawings will continue for several weeks.
In addition, certain field employees whose roles require frequent travel to multiple stores are also required to be fully vaccinated beginning in October, unless a reasonable accommodation is approved.
To further our vaccine advocacy, we've brought back onsite vaccination clinics to our Customer Experience (Distribution) Centers in Fresno, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Fishkill, NY; Groveport, OH; and Gallatin, TN. The clinics are available at different times at each Customer Experience Center, and they'll continue throughout September.
And because we know the decision to become vaccinated is not one to be taken lightly, we're also continuing to offer our team members opportunities to hear directly from medical experts to receive data and science-based information that will help inform decisions.
At Gap Inc., doing the right thing is foundational to our Words to Live By. This means using our resources and resolve to care for the communities around us. We're committed to doing good not only for our team members and customers, but for all of society.
