Cancellation of New Zealand Stock Exchange Listing
F&C Global Smaller Companies PLC (the "Company ") announces that it has requested and been granted approval from NZX Limited ("NZX ") for the listing of its ordinary shares on the NZX Main Board ("NZSX ") to be cancelled.
The last day of trading of the Company's shares on the NZSX will be 17 June 2014, with the shares ceasing to be listed at the close of business on 27 June 2014.
The Company's shares have been listed on the NZSX since April 1995. However, in recent years the number of shareholders on the New Zealand share register has reduced substantially. The Company's board has determined that the compliance costs associated with remaining listed on the NZSX outweigh the benefits to the Company's shareholders of maintaining the NZSX listing.
After the cancellation of the NZSX listing the Company's New Zealand listed shares will be transferred to the Company's United Kingdom share register. The Company's shares will then be quoted on the London Stock Exchange only.
