Goldman Sachs has announced plans to expand in the Middle East with a new appointment. The firm has hired wealth managers from firms such as UBS Group AG and BNP Paribas SA. The move comes as the American bank is aiming to enhance its business in the Middle East. The company appointed Shrooq Abualif AlMuhaid as managing director and head of private wealth management for Saudi Arabia. She will be joined by four more advisers in Dubai and two in Geneva. Earlier this year, the company hired Gabriel Aractingi from Bahrain-based Investcorp Bank BSC as head of the Middle East and North Africa region for the private banking division.
