Towngas Credit Period Extension Scheme to Help Catering Operators Cruise through the Latest Epidemic Wave.

Recently, Hong Kong has been affected by the latest wave of the epidemic, and the situation is getting more and more serious.

In response to the development, the government extended the business restriction measures for another two months, and the catering industry was the first to bear the brunt. Many restaurants have to suspend or even close down their business. The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) has been closely following the situation, actively engaging with the industry, understanding and striving to alleviate the difficulties faced by the operators.

Towngas has been working side-by-side with the catering industry and has been their close partner. Faced with the current situation, Towngas must stand together with the industry to tide over the adversity. In order to show support for the catering industry, relieve their urgent needs and also make their cash flow more flexible, Towngas has once again decided to launch the 'Credit Period Extension Scheme for the Catering Industry' after its introduction in 2019. Starting from March 1, all catering operators in Hong Kong can join the plan for a period of three months. Operators whose applications are approved can defer their gas bill payments in March, April and May until May, June and July. An estimate of 10,000 operators can be benefited from this plan.

Towngas is now sending out the application forms to all the customers in the catering industry and the forms are expected to arrive before mid-March. Operators who wish to apply for the plan can complete the attached reply slip and return it to Towngas by email, fax or mail. All applications received will be reviewed immediately. For further enquiries, please feel free to call our Customer Service Hotline at 2880 6988. With the concerted efforts of Hong Kong people, all industries in Hong Kong can surely be restored to prosperity soon!
