IPG published its 2021 ESG report, becoming the first US-based advertising holding company to receive external assurance on an ESG report, and the first to disclose in accordance with TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) recommendations. This builds on IPG's continued evolution of enhancing its disclosures following our 2020 report, when IPG became the first company globally to publish in alignment with the SASB's (Sustainability and Accounting Standards Board) Advertising & Marketing Standard.

You can view and download IPG's 2021 ESG Report here.

The report covers a range of environmental, social and governance topics including IPG's five strategic ESG priorities: climate action, human capital, diversity, equity and inclusion, responsible media and content, and data ethics and privacy.

In the report, among several key initiatives, IPG expands on its GHG emissions reporting to disclose full scope 3 inventory data, shares its EEO1 numbers on diversity in leadership, offers a snapshot of agency ESG programs and highlights actions that will help the company achieve the climate commitments it announced last year.

This is IPG's first report that combines various reporting frameworks into one comprehensive disclosure, including the GRI Standards, SASB Standards, TCFD recommendations, UN Global Compact and UN Sustainable Development Goals. IPG also regularly responds to CDP, EcoVadis, Ecodesk and S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment.
