The Kingfish Company N.V.'s US subsidiary, Kingfish Maine Inc., has secured its
final critical water-side permit.

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MDEP) has approved the Maine
Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (MEPDES) Permit for Kingfish Maine
thereby paving the way to build a proprietary land-based aquaculture facility in
Jonesport, Maine USA. The MEPDES permit is the second of two critical water-side
permits required to build and operate its facility. The company has already
obtained the first critical permit, a submerged land lease, during 2020.

Kingfish Maine is wholly owned by The Kingfish Company, which currently operates
land-based recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) in the Netherlands. Kingfish
Maine will utilize the same advanced technology solutions used in the
Netherlands to minimize impacts of effluent. The just approved MEPDES permit
evaluates the facility's discharge to ensure that Kingfish Maine will maintain
the water quality of the area based on the location of the discharge point and
the make-up of the effluent water.

Kingfish Maine's recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) facility is projected to
produce 6,000 - 8,000 metric tons of Yellowtail annually upon completion.

The Kingfish Company is a pioneer and leader in sustainable land-based
aquaculture. Current annual production capacity at its Kingfish Zeeland facility
in the Netherlands is 1,250 tons of high quality and high value Yellowtail
Kingfish.

Expansion is underway and capacity in the Netherlands will reach 3,000 tons in
the second half of 2022. In the US, permitting for the company's 6,000 - 8,000
tons capacity facility is progressing as planned, with production start
scheduled for second half of 2023.

Production is based on advanced recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), which
protect biodiversity and ensure bio security. Animal welfare is paramount, and
the fish is grown without use of antibiotics and vaccines. Operations run on 100

facilities operate on sea water, avoiding wasting of precious fresh water.
