Gwen Bialas has been promoted to President of Middleby brands Carter-Hoffmann Doyon and Nu-Vu. Carter-Hoffman is based in Mundelein, Ill., while Doyon and Nu-Vu are headquartered in Menominee, Mich.
Gwen joined Middleby in January 2021 as a General Manager. In her new role she will continue to direct the day-to-day operations of Carter-Hoffman, Doyon and Nu-Vu which includes leading engineering and product development, sales and marketing and operations. As brand president, Gwen will expand her support within the Middleby Commercial Foodservice Group.
"Gwen has proven her leadership to be highly effective, making significant progress in a short amount of time. She has successfully optimized facility operations and grown customer relationships while earning the respect of her colleagues, peers, and customers," said David Abi, Middleby Group President.
"With her deep knowledge of product development, IT strategy and the future of foodservice, Gwen was able to enhance the Carter-Hoffmann Pickup Cabinet (PUC) system. This product is in high demand as restaurants have prioritized gaining efficiency for carry out customers, and Gwen has successfully led the engineering and marketing efforts," said James Pool, Middleby Chief Technology and Operations Officer.
Gwen is a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago. She has earned recognitions for her professional and philanthropic work, from guest speaker and panelist at women's leadership forums to international and domestic humanitarian missions. Outside of work, Gwen continues her love for the world of food through cooking and gardening, and her greatest passion, time with her growing family.
