Jennifer, who has most recently covered veterans issues and the involvement of military veterans in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, arrives on the Pentagon beat after a 26-year reporting career at The Times. She has worked on the Metro, Business and National desks, and she was City Hall bureau chief and Los Angeles bureau chief before arriving in 2010 in Washington. Jennifer spent six years as a congressional correspondent and a year as the editor of Live Journalism/D.C., a series of events in Washington that included Scott Shane, a former national security correspondent, interviewing the actress Jennifer Lawrence about her performance in a Russian spy movie. Jennifer is the author of 'Beverly Hills Adjacent,' a novel about the television business, as well as two cookbooks and 'The Firsts,' an account of the historic class of women in the 116th Congress.
