The Phoenix Companies, Inc. (NYSE:PNX) today announced that Justin Banulski, CPA, has joined the company as vice president of investment accounting. He will lead the team that provides oversight and control for financial operations and all accounting and reporting activities for Phoenix’s investment portfolio. He reports to Ernest McNeill, senior vice president and chief accounting officer.

“Justin’s extensive accounting and audit experience will serve Phoenix well as he takes on a critical role in Corporate Finance and as a partner to the Corporate Portfolio Management team,” Mr. McNeill said.

Mr. Banulski most recently served as a senior manager for Deloitte & Touche. He began his career at Deloitte in 2003 and has led numerous audits and other engagements in the insurance industry, including at Phoenix.

Mr. Banulski holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
