«The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works 'Krasny Kotelshchik'» (TKZ) provided the Medical Unit with the required equipment for the examination of the citizens. New X-Ray diagnostic cabinet equipped with the digital X-ray apparatus was opened. The facility of new generation was procured by the Company under the endeavored measures of COVID-19 control. The equipment designed for performing radiography has lower X-ray dose comparing with similar apparatuses. Before that, there were only six medical facilities in Taganrog, where X-ray examination was carried out; and three of them are narrow specialized (tuberculosis treatment center and oncology center, emergency hospital). Available there, X-ray apparatuses were procured long time ago. The X-ray apparatus of new generation, installed in Medical Unit 'Krasny Kotelshchik', is a modern multipurpose digital facility. The new equipment allows for the safest and most accurate examinations. A high-frequency X-ray generator, with which the apparatus is equipped, ensures decreasing of radiation exposure of patients and medical personnel. Minimal radiation dose of 1 millisecond is achieved due to high conversion frequency. Due to the broaden radiographic range, the X-ray tube allows for taking razor sharp images, providing for the X-ray picture of high quality. All these influence on the accuracy of diagnoses and prescribing the correct treatment pattern. 'The facility is functionally new: digital, with high resolution, it makes it possible to get immediate examination result and improve the picture on the monitor screen by correcting the modes in the program. The high-tech equipment allows for taking 15 pictures per hour, due to the digital quality, the possibility to zoom in a specific area and notice any pathology is available. The advantages of the digital radiography includes a convenience of X-ray examination performing both for the doctors and patients. A specialist can take X-ray in several projections. The other advantages are the following: 1. Quick result issuing. The image is immediately displayed on the screen. The doctors don't have to spend funds or time for the procurement of films, solutions and development of films. As the result, the diagnosis is established faster; 2. The high quality of the image is attained due to the high-sensitivity equipment. As well as that, it is possible to adjust the contrast of the image, zoom it in and out. This means, that it is not required for the patient to have X-ray taken for the second time; 3. Possibility to record it on an independent data storage device, instant image transmission over great distances, data archiving and storage on a computer, which allows for quick finding of the required file.
