Toronto-Dominion Bank shares rose in early trading on Thursday morning after the company reported earnings and revenue that beat expectations in the second quarter.
At 9:42 a.m. ET, shares were up 2.3%, at 95.94 Canadian dollars (US$74.86).
Adjusted earnings were C$2.02 a share, down slightly from C$2.04 but ahead of analyst expectations of C$1.94 a share, taken from FactSet.
Total revenue rose to C$11.26 billion from C$10.23 billion, beating analysts' consensus forecast of C$10.27 billion.
