Walt Disney Co. said Monday that it will cancel all Disney Cruise Line sailings through Jan. 31, as the company works to get the necessary health and safety approvals to resume operations.

Sailings are cancelled for the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder and Disney Dream cruises through Feb. 1 and the Disney Fantasy through Feb. 6, the company said.

Affected guests with fully-paid reservations will be offered a credit for a future sailing or a full refund. Guests who haven't fully paid their reservation will get an automatic refund. All affected guests will receive a message from Disney Cruise Line with more details and next steps, Disney said.

Many cruise lines operators have gone for months with a dearth in revenue following a U.S. Centers for Disease Control cruising ban to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus. The CDC has recently let that cruising ban lapse, but that comes with a long checklist such as requiring operators to apply for a sailing permit at least 60 days before starting passenger operations and conducting mock sailings.
