Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. expects its revenue to rise by 9% year over year in 2021, Chairman and Chief Executive Marc Casper said Monday.

Mr. Casper told analysts on a conference call that the company expects its full-year revenue to be $35.1 billion, compared with $32.22 billion in 2020.

The company forecasts adjusted earnings of $21.62 a share, Mr. Casper said.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet had been forecasting 2021 revenue of $33.8 billion, and adjusted earnings of $20.83 a share.

Revenue from the company's response to Covid-19, which has included supporting diagnostics and research, contributed $6.6 billion of revenue last year, Mr. Casper said.
