Thomson Reuters Corp. shares tumbled in early trading after the company said it swung to a loss and missed analyst expectations in its fourth quarter.
At 9:50 a.m. ET, Toronto-listed shares were down 4.5% at C$127.21.
The Canadian-U.S. multinational media conglomerate reported a loss per share of 36 cents, compared with a profit of $1.13 a share a year earlier.
Adjusted earnings were 43 cents a share, missing analyst expectations of 45 cents a share, according to FactSet.
Sales rose to $1.71 billion from $1.62 billion, beating analyst expectations of $1.66 billion.
