BANDAI NAMCO Holdings Inc. (TSE:7832) agreed to acquire an additional 8.96% stake in Toei Animation Co. Ltd. (JASDAQ:4816) on July 19, 2017. Under the terms of the transaction, BANDAI NAMCO Holdings Inc. will acquire 1.2 million shares. After the completion of the transaction, BANDAI NAMCO Holdings Inc. will hold 11% stake in Toei Animation Co. Ltd. The transaction was resolved by the Board of BANDAI NAMCO Holdings Inc.

The Licensing segment is mainly engaged in the commercialization license of characters appearing in the productions.
