Today, Uchibori Masao, the governor of Fukushima prefecture, visited the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.

The Governor was given a look at decommissioning efforts underway from high ground overlooking Units 1-4. The Governor was also shown frozen-soil wall (ice wall) which is one of the measures for contaminated water management, and seawalls against Tsunami.

After the tour, Uchibori Masao, the governor of Fukushima prefecture, directed words of encouragement and gratitude to the personnel at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station saying, "Please continue to advance your efforts toward the decommissioning".

TEPCO will continue to move steadily and safely forward with the long-term decommissioning process with the understanding and cooperation of society.
