On October 17, Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida, visited the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.

The Prime Minister was given a good look at decommissioning efforts underway from high ground overlooking Units 1~4. The Prime Minister was also briefed on the characteristics of ALPS water treated with multi-nuclide removal equipment (ALPS) with showing a sample bottle of such water.

During the tour, Prime Minster Kishida said "Decommissioning is necessary for recovery, so I would like you to continue to the best of your ability while cherishing the trust you have from the local community."

We will continue to move steadily and safely forward with the long-term decommissioning process with the understanding and cooperation of society.
