Toray Industries, Inc. announced earnings forecast for Six months ending September 30, 2022 and full year ending March 31, 2023. For the Six months ending September 30, 2022, the company expects the Revenue of JPY 1,185,000 million. Core operating income of JPY 60,000 million. Profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 52,000 million. Basic earnings per share of JPY 32.49.
For the Six months ending September 30, 2022, the company expects the Revenue of JPY 2,500,000 million. Core operating income of JPY 140,000 million. Profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 100,000 million. Basic earnings per share of JPY 62.47.
Toray Industries, Inc. is a diversified group organized around 5 areas of activity:
- fiber and textile production (38.2% of net sales): nylon, polyester, acrylic fibers, non-woven products, etc.;
- plastic and chemical manufacture (38.2%): resins, plastic films, fine chemicals, etc.;
- engineering and environmental services (10.3%): development, construction, and assembly of industrial units, manufacture of seawater desalinization equipment, wastewater treatment equipment, etc.;
- production of carbon fibers (9.7%);
