Sonja Voigt joins Ramboll as Global Vice Director Wind. She will have a focus on further strengthening the wind consultancy business, one of the major focus areas in the Wind growth strategy, supporting the growing demand of developers throughout the full project life cycle.

Sonja comes from TotalEnergies' Offshore Wind where she held the position of Head of Origination and Business Development. She was responsible for market selection, entry strategies and Partnering of TotalEnergies' global offshore wind portfolio. Prior to that, Sonja held several leadership positions at Orsted, E.ON (now RWE) and Vestas.

Wind energy is one of the key enablers for the green energy transition and the demand for wind energy services is constantly increasing worldwide. As one of the leading wind consultancies worldwide, Ramboll is involved in close to 70% of all wind farm developments around the globe.

In the past three consecutive years, Ramboll's global wind business has grown by double-digits annually. The company welcomed close to 200 new wind experts in the last two years. Local teams have been established in Spain, Poland, Japan and on both US coasts, further market-entries are currently in the making.

'With Sonja we are gaining a top leader with over 20 years of sector experience for our ever-expanding organisation. She has in-depth knowledge of our sector and brings crucial insights about market challenges and strategies from a client perspective. I am very confident that those insights will allow us to get even closer to our client's needs and enable us to be the Partner for Sustainable Change for their energy transition journey', says Global Wind Director Tim Fischer.
