TotalEnergies SE and Air France-KLM have signed a memorandum of understanding for the supply of sustainable aviation fuel over a 10-year period starting in 2023, the companies said Monday.

According to the terms of the agreement, TotalEnergies will supply more than a million cubic meters, or 800,000 metric tons, of fuel to Air France-KLM. That type of fuel is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by at least 80% on average over its entire lifecycle compared with the fossil equivalent, the companies said.
