TOWER on standby for Tongan customers affected by Cyclone Ian

TOWER anticipates only a small number of claims as a result of the devastating cyclone that hit Tonga at the weekend.
TOWER has a long-established presence in the Pacific Islands, with an office in the main island of
Tongatapu, where the vast majority of its Tongan customers are based.
Chief Financial Officer Michael Boggs, who heads TOWER's Pacific operations, said today that TOWER had received one claim today as a result of the storm damage and was anticipating only a small number, given Cyclone Ian had left Tongatapu relatively unscathed.
"We appreciate that it may be some days before customers are in a position to contact us, bearing in mind communication challenges and clean-up activities," he said.
Mr Boggs said TOWER's thoughts were with Tongans who had suffered loss or damage as a result of the storm.
"We remain in close contact with our team in Tonga, all of whom are safe and are in the office today
ready to assist customers affected by Cyclone Ian," he said.
"We'll obviously be working as quickly as possible to process any claims that may come through to ensure our customers get back on their feet as soon as possible," Mr Boggs said.
