SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) _ TPI Composites Inc. (TPIC) on Thursday reported a second-quarter loss of $66.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based company said it had a loss of $1.87 per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and restructuring costs, were 31 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 18 cents per share.

The maker of composite wind blades posted revenue of $373.8 million in the period.

TPI Composites shares have climbed 53% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 13% in the last 12 months.
