MOSCOW, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Russian pipeline monopoly Transneft said on Friday that Ukraine had confirmed receiving payment for Russian oil transit to Europe via the Druzhba pipeline, Russian state-owned news agency RIA reported.

On Tuesday, Transneft said supplies via the Druzhba pipeline had been suspended to the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia since Aug. 4 because Western sanctions prevented the payment of transit fees from Moscow to Ukraine. (Reporting by Reuters Editing by Mark Heinrich)
