Communications app Truecaller is launching what it describes as its biggest ever update for the iPhone.

The company is rolling out real-time call identification and automatic spam call blocking for Apple users following improvements to the Ios 18 operating system. The new update enables iPhone users to take advantage of Truecaller's latest AI technology and its entire global database to identify as many calls as possible.

"These features, along with other improvements and the ability to take out a family subscription, are now being rolled out globally to paying subscribers of Truecaller on iOS. The launch is expected to further strengthen Truecaller's subscription revenue," it said.

Truecaller's COO Fredrik Kjell states the following.

"With this, we further accelerate the growth potential of our fast-growing and stable subscription revenue and bring us closer to our ambition to exceed SEK 1 billion in recurring revenue within the coming years. All iOS users will be offered a free trial of our new enhanced service, but thereafter it will only be available to paying subscribers. With this launch, we see a significant opportunity to further increase conversion rates, which are already more than five times higher on iOS than on Android, and the number of subscribers on iOS."
