MONTREAL (AP) _ Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd. (TRQ) on Monday reported fourth-quarter profit of $159.9 million.

On a per-share basis, the Montreal-based company said it had profit of 79 cents.

The metal and coal mining company posted revenue of $405.1 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported net income of $406.3 million, or $2.02 per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $1.08 billion.

Turquoise Hill shares have climbed 17% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $14.57, nearly tripling in the last 12 months.
